We have 11 girls competing silver this year. Only 2-5 of them will move to gold next year and those will score out of Level 5 first. So here is my question. In 2013-2014 when the levels change, will it be level 4 or 5 that is required before gold? Just worried that the ones repeating silver next year will have to do 4 and 5 before gold in 2013-2014. It is all just a bit confusing with 4 being the old 5 etc and want to be able to explain to parents. Thanks.

The is no chasse with value in the Level 5 & 6 routines which are the elements that are allowed at Gold. The only chasse that appears in either routine is a side chasse and it is a connection, not an element with value.

That being said, would the 10/7/10 clarification still be true for the Gold Floor under the new Xcel rules?
Thanks,

Would this routine receive credit for two circling skills? Since the respective compulsory dismounts list the cast with the sole circle, does this make them all one skill? Would it depend on the gymnast's execution i.e. straight body cast to toe on as opposed to the typical execution of just casting into a pike to immediately place the feet on the bar in the chosen position?

One of the SR's requires 2 skills, one must have flight. I have had several conflicting conversations about this. Can you clarify if a round-off, rebound, backward roll would fulfill this requirement? Some judges say that the rebound is a straight jump, and would break the series. Others say the rebound is inherent to the skill - a roundoff done properly should always have a rebound - and the connection to the roll is acceptable.
