The Region 8 Prep Optional Championship will be held May 1–3, 2009 at the Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL, and will be hosted by Edgewater Gymnastics Academy. Athletes in Region 8 are invited to attend. This exciting championship will feature all–star gymnasts, individual team session awards, and the State Team Championship. Four levels of Prep Optional Gymnastics are offered – Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Please take time to “surf” this site for information about this exciting annual event.
The 2009 Region 8 Prep Optional Guidelines are now available. Clarifications of these guidelines will be answered through the clarifications link. Ask a question – get the answer. The Region 8 Prep Optional Guidelines are a collaborative effort among several states which enables athletes to compete at the Region 8 Prep Optional Championships. It must be clarified that these guidelines are not a mandate to be used at the state level. They are the guidelines for the championships. Several states have adopted the guidelines for their use at the state level. Those who do not opt to adopt the guidelines at the state level are still invited and encouraged to attend the championships.
